Victoria Beckham beauty icon, that’s a fact. So when she launched her eponymous brand in 2019, my only question was, “What took so long?” I had high hopes that she would bring me that enviable ’90s look in product form, and I was not disappointed.
I was a loyal follower of the Spice Girls, but even if you weren’t, the Victoria Beckham Beauty range stands out from the celebrity beauty brand craze. It wasn’t just the luxe, heavy packaging with an Instagram-worthy tortoiseshell design (I’m a fan of this packaging), but the formulas are unanimously creamy, smooth, and easy to blend. Seriously, this makes achieving a smoky eye foolproof.
It’s worth noting that this isn’t the cheapest celebrity beauty brand on the market (the most affordable are the £24 lip liners), but it is the definition of luxury. It’s expensive because it looks expensive and feels expensive – that’s very much the ethos of VB.
Victoria Beckham Beauty Review
This is the first product from the range I tried and it made me fall in love with blush all over again. I use the terracotta shade “Playground” every day to act as a 2-in-1 blush and bronzer hybrid and it’s the skin equivalent of a Red Bull when I’m tired.
Not only are all the shades wearable (picking one would be a feat), but they also blend easily, without compromising on pigmentation; these aren’t blushes that will disappear after five minutes, trust me.
Despite their setting, they leave cheeks feeling hydrated and dewy, leaving you with a natural complexion.
Victoria Beckham Beauty FeatherFix Liquid Lifting Brow Gel
How can you get excited about a brow gel? With VB Brow Gel, it’s possible. What hooked me was the lightness of the formula – it almost feels like you’re applying water to your brows to keep them in place, without leaving any sticky residue, which is what so many formulas do.
The gel comes in 5 shades, but I opted for the clear shade as my last layer of product. I also love the comb-style applicator that precisely shapes my brow bones the way I want them.
Victoria Beckham Beauty Lid Lustre Eyeshadow
These were the ones I was most excited to try when the brand launched. They promised a sexy, worn-in smokey eye look that has only grown in popularity since then, thanks to TikTok’s “espresso makeup” trend.
They feel buttery and can be worn as a lightweight gloss or as a deep, bold eye look if you layer them. They’re super blendable and the end result looks both effortless and high-maintenance.
My only problem is the fallout. You’ll end up with glowing cheeks by midnight, but that’s the grunge look, right?
Victoria Beckham Beauty Lip Definer Lip Pencil
Of the entire line, I feel like these are the ones people forget about the most. Considering we all know what VB was like in the 90s, are we really surprised that she managed to create lip liners? I’m not.
These pencils have the precision of a pencil with the creamy texture of a colored pencil and wear considerably well during happy hour (I’ve tested them extensively).
The nude shades are my favorite (what a surprise) and I find them so pigmented and natural that I often wear them alone.
Victoria Beckham Reflect Pearl Highlighter Stick
If you’re looking for a highlighter that will give you glass-like glowing skin without any chunky glitter, this stick is for you. It’s subtly pearlescent to allow the cheeks to hit the light, without making you feel like a disco ball.
The it’s shaped like a lip balm, meaning it really clung to my cheekbones when I applied it. It’s glossier than any other product, so it’s sort of the equivalent of lip gloss for the face (without any stickiness).
The it’s become my go-to for days when I want to look a little dewy without looking too “finished.”
Victoria Beckham Beauty Contour Stylus
This is by far the smallest contour stick I’ve found. Its thinness allows you to go around your nose without issue and be more precise and get into smaller corners (i.e. the eye socket).
However, if you’re a girl who likes cheek flicks like me, I found that it took a little longer to get my toned look than with other thicker sticks in my collection.
That said, it was very easy to blend. It costs the same as my larger contour products, so with just 1.1g of product you’ll use it up pretty quickly, which will add up in the long run.
Victoria Beckham Beauty Bitten Lip Tint
This makes for easy moody lips and leaves you looking like you’ve gorged yourself on fresh cherries (luxury).
It dries quickly and provides a velvety finish. It’s not as drying as previous lip tints I’ve found, but it’s not really moisturizing either.
It has amazing staying power and I love that you can pat it on for a tighter look or to give it a bolder color. However, I got two, and both sponge applicators fell off the top.
Conclusion
VB fans will remember that the foundation from her collaboration with Estee Lauder in 2016 literally took the internet by storm. So I was eager to see if this alternative lived up to the first one.
It’s gotten a skincare upgrade, thanks to Augustinus Bader, and contains a cocktail of amino acids and vitamins meant to regenerate the skin. Because of all this, it’s pretty pricey for a primer. But it’s so hydrating that even I, someone with chronically dry cheeks, could use it as a moisturizer.
It left my skin feeling silky smooth, without leaving a greasy finish, and worked as an excellent base for makeup.
